One of the easiest ways to judge a faucet is by its weight and finish. Heavier faucets usually indicate better material like brass, while very light ones often use cheaper components.
Also, pay attention to how the handle moves — it should feel smooth and firm, not loose. The finish should look even and not too shiny or plastic-like. Another thing people often ignore is the internal cartridge, which controls water flow. A good cartridge means fewer leaks in the future. In my experience, spending a bit more upfront saves you from frequent replacements later.
