Hey everyone,
I’ve been doing a lot of research lately on best long term crypto investing, and I wanted to get some real opinions from people who’ve been in the market longer than I have.
Right now, I’m trying to build a portfolio that I can just hold for years, not something I’m constantly trading in and out of. The problem is, there are so many different narratives in crypto that it’s hard to know what actually makes sense long term.
From what I understand so far, the main strong candidates people keep mentioning are:
Bitcoin as the main store of value Ethereum for smart contracts and DeFi Solana for high-speed applications XRP for global payments And newer projects like Bittensor for AI + blockchain
But I’m still not fully convinced about how to balance these. For example, should most of a long-term portfolio just be Bitcoin and Ethereum, or is it worth allocating more into higher-risk projects like AI and newer layer-1 chains?
Also, how do you personally think about holding through bear markets? That seems to be where most people give up or make bad decisions.
I’m not looking for hype or “moon” predictions. I’m more interested in how experienced investors actually structure long-term positions and manage risk over multiple cycles.
Would really appreciate any serious insights or strategies you’re willing to share.
Thanks in advance.
