Baldi's Basics in Education and Learning horror games looks like a harmless educational game at first glance, but it quickly turns into something much stranger. The graphics are intentionally rough, with bright colors and stiff, low-quality character designs that feel like a 90s school program. That awkward, almost childish style is exactly what makes the horror element work—it feels off in a way that’s hard to ignore.

You play as a student trying to collect notebooks scattered around a school. Sounds simple, but each notebook comes with math problems you have to solve. The catch is, you won’t always get them right. Every wrong answer makes Baldi, the teacher with a ruler, more aggressive. The sound of that ruler slapping against his hand or the floor becomes a constant source of pressure as you move through the halls.

Gameplay itself is pretty basic: walk around, manage items, and avoid getting caught. There are other characters too, each adding their own kind of chaos, making things less predictable the longer you play. It’s not about jump scares—it’s more about tension slowly building as you realize you’re being hunted in a place that should feel safe.

What makes the game stand out is how weird it is. It doesn’t rely on realistic visuals or a deep story. Instead, it creates discomfort through its atmosphere and design choices. It’s short, a bit messy, but memorable in a way that sticks with you longer than you’d expect.
