Vaman Kriya is a yogic purification technique mentioned in traditional texts. It is mainly practiced to clean the stomach and improve digestion. This kriya is usually done early in the morning on an empty stomach. In the main step, Vaman Kriya involves drinking lukewarm saline water and gently inducing vomiting to remove impurities. It should be practiced only under the guidance of a yoga or Ayurveda expert. When done correctly, it helps reduce acidity, heaviness, and Kapha imbalance. Proper rest and light food after the practice are very important. Beginners should never attempt this practice without proper training and guidance.
