Yes, switching is possible but highly competitive and depends on your faculty. At the university of melbourne fees are significantly lower for CSPs. Many graduate schools, like the School of Design, offer automatic merit-based transfers after 100 points of study with a high WAM. However, some faculties, like Law or Medicine, typically do not permit mid-degree transfers.
