Fildena can cause vision changes because it contains sildenafil citrate, a phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitor. While sildenafil primarily targets the PDE5 enzyme in the penis to improve blood flow and treat erectile dysfunction, Fildena can also affect a similar enzyme known as PDE6, which is found in the retina of the eye. This interaction may temporarily alter light perception and color vision. Some users report symptoms like blurred vision, increased sensitivity to light, or a bluish tint to their sight. These effects are usually mild and short-lived, but in rare cases, more serious issues such as non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION) can occur, especially in men with preexisting eye or vascular conditions.
