Just wrapped up my first month living in Dubai after moving from Toronto. I’ve been freelancing in digital marketing for the past six years — mostly working with clients in North America and the UK. For a long time, I thought about relocating somewhere with a better climate and more business-friendly environment, and Dubai kept coming up in conversations with other remote workers.
After some research, I decided to take the plunge. I used https://dubai-real.estate/ to find a property, and I’m really glad I did. The listings are detailed, and I appreciated how responsive the agents were. I ended up buying a studio in Dubai Marina — close to the beach and with plenty of cafes where I can work during the day.
There’s definitely a learning curve with the move, but the city is much more livable than I expected — clean, efficient, and a great place for networking. There’s a big international community here, which makes the transition easier. For any fellow freelancers out there thinking about making a change — Dubai might be more accessible than you think.
