Hey everyone, I’ve been digging deeper into Functional Testing QA lately, and I’d love to hear from folks who are actually in the field. I recently came across https://www.testing4success.com/activities/functionaltesting.html that breaks down what functional testing involves, and it got me thinking about how different teams approach it.
For those working in QA, especially with a focus on functional testing, what does your day-to-day typically look like? Do you rely mostly on manual testing, or are you leaning more into automation tools these days? Also, how do you make sure you’re covering all the right scenarios without going overboard?
I feel like the concept is pretty straightforward in theory — making sure everything works the way it's supposed to — but in practice, there are a lot of moving parts. Would be great to hear any tips, challenges you've faced, or even stories from the trenches. Appreciate any insights!
