Any automobile buyer is very concerned about reliability, and the Chrysler 200 engine has a checkered history. Some owners say they may get a lot of mileage with few problems, especially if they take good care of it and drive carefully. Others, though, have experienced early engine-related issues, especially with the 2.4L Tigershark engine found in previous versions.
