Basically, looking at the text as “to a star seen at twilight analysis,” there are several interpretations of the poem. The star in the twilight is distant but is not insignificant. Twilight is an interesting time of day and not only because it is still bright during this time and it is getting dark; people use it to think and come up with doubts. The poet uses the word star symbolically in much the same way as a dream which seems something distant and which one can never get hold of. It could also reveal what the poet wants or, at least, what he/she would like to have. To get the best view of the poem, we should pay more attention to how the poet applied the concept of twilight to symbolize loneliness, separations and/or time. The star, which is barely visible in the twilight, may metaphorically stand for something that gives light but seems to be unreachable. Through use of urging words the poet communicates that this is just for a few minutes, and thus the message that whatever is under the sun is temporal. Something like that is like attempting to grasp a dream you know you can never reach. This analysis makes readers consider how light and darkness has been used in the poem. It thus depicts how we can have feelings and goals that are simultaneously understandable and not understandable as is the sky during twilights.
