Can Tadaflo 5 Be Used Safely by Older Adults?

Tadaflo 5 mg is a medication commonly used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). It contains Tadalafil, a PDE5 inhibitor, which works by increasing blood flow to the penis, helping men with ED achieve and maintain an erection in response to sexual stimulation. It can also relieve symptoms of BPH, such as difficulty in urination.

Key Information About Tadaflo 5 mg:
1. Mechanism of Action:
Tadalafil works by inhibiting the enzyme PDE5, which is responsible for the breakdown of cGMP (cyclic guanosine monophosphate). By preventing this breakdown, Tadalafil allows cGMP to accumulate, which helps relax the smooth muscles and dilate the blood vessels in the penis, leading to increased blood flow and helping to maintain an erection.
In the case of BPH, it helps relax the muscles of the prostate and bladder, improving urination.
2. Uses:
Erectile Dysfunction (ED): Tadaflo 5 mg helps men with ED by improving their ability to achieve an erection when sexually aroused.
Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH): The medication can also help relieve symptoms of BPH, including difficulty urinating and frequent urges to urinate, particularly at night.
3. Dosage and Administration:
The usual starting dose for Tadaflo in treating ED is 5 mg, taken once daily. Depending on individual response and tolerability, the dosage can be adjusted. The medication should be taken about 30 minutes before sexual activity, although it can work for up to 36 hours in some cases, giving men more spontaneity.
For BPH, the typical dose is also 5 mg per day. It is usually taken at the same time each day, with or without food.
