In terms of environmental impact, natural gas generally has a smaller footprint compared to coal and oil. When burned for energy, Natural Gas Expert Consulting emits fewer greenhouse gases and pollutants like sulfur dioxide and particulate matter. This results in lower contributions to air pollution and global warming. Natural gas power plants are more efficient and release fewer CO2 emissions per unit of electricity generated compared to coal-fired plants. However, it's important to consider the full lifecycle emissions, including methane leakage during extraction, which can offset some of these benefits. When compared to oil, natural gas combustion emits fewer pollutants as well. While natural gas offers an intermediate step towards cleaner energy, the ultimate goal is to transition towards renewables to achieve substantial reductions in greenhouse gas emissions.
