The IEC (Import Export Code) registration is a ten-digit code issued by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), which is mandatory for businesses that wish to carry out import/export activities in India. It is also known as the Importer Exporter Code or IE Code. The code is unique to each business and is valid for a lifetime.
